From 6 July, ISLA will migrate its website and email to a new domain – www.islagroup.org, to more accurately reflect our legal entity structure.
Please see below for important information regarding the change and recommended actions for ISLA members.
What Is Changing?
Website: From 6 July, the ISLA website will move from www.islagroup.org to www.islagroup.org
Email: All ISLA staff email addresses will transition to the new islagroup.org domain, e.g [name].[surname]@islagroup.org
Is ISLA Changing Its Name?
No. We will continue to be called ‘International Securities Lending Association’ (ISLA) as per our legal entity name. Our name remains unchanged – we are simply changing our website domain name and email addresses.
Why Are We Making This Change?
Our current domain is misaligned to our legal name and does not accurately reflect who we are. Member feedback has indicated that this misalignment has created confusion in the market and implies a regional focus that does not match our reality. ISLA represents more than 280 members across 35 jurisdictions and delivers for members across global markets, including legal opinions spanning 71 countries. Our identity, including our website domain, needs to reflect that scale and reach.
In 2024 we established our affiliate entity, ISLA Americas. The ISLA Americas website domain correctly reflects the scope of the entity and will remain unchanged.
When Will This Take Effect?
The change will take effect from Monday 6 July.
What Do ISLA Members Need To Do?
- Please update your records and begin using our new website domain: www.islagroup.org.
- While all weblinks will be redirected to the new domain, we recommend that any ISLA weblinks saved as favourites be amended to reflect the new domain.
- Existing email addresses will continue to function and will be redirected during a transition period, however we would ask that members please adopt the new contact details going forward.
Will There Be Any Disruption?
The work will be carried out over the weekend of 4-5 July to ensure there is no impact on your access to our resources during business hours. All existing email addresses will remain active and will be automatically redirected during the transition period.
